Aromatic Thai Basil Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked jasmine rice
- 1 small onion, diced

- 1 cup of diced chicken or tofu (optional)

- 1 cup of fresh Thai basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar to make the sauce.
- In a large pan or wok, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Add onions and minced garlic to the pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- If using chicken or tofu, add it to the pan and cook until fully cooked.
- Add in the diced carrots, broccoli, and green beans to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Next, add the red bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Push the vegetables and protein to the side of the pan and crack in the eggs. Scramble the eggs until cooked and then mix it in with the rest of the ingredients.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and pour the sauce over it. Mix everything together until the rice is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Finally, add in the fresh Thai basil leaves and stir-fry for another minute.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
